Overview
This article explains how to connect to the Eduroam Wi-Fi network. Eduroam allows St. Lawrence University faculty, staff and students to connect to the Internet at all eduroam institutions using their St. Lawrence network credentials. To see where eduroam is available, visit https://www.eduroam.org/where/
Instructions
Windows 10
- On the bottom right corner of the screen, click on the Wi-Fi icon.
- In the list of networks, click Eduroam.
- Click Connect.
- For Username, type in your full St. Lawrence email address.
- For Password, type in your St. Lawrence network password.
- Click Ok.
- If you see a box that says "Continue Connecting?", click Connect.
Windows 11
- Click the network icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Click the > button next to the Wi-Fi icon
- Click Eduroam.
- Click Connect.
- Enter your full SLU email and password.
- If prompted to continue connecting, click Connect.
Mac
- On the top right corner of the screen, click the Wi-Fi button.
- In the list of networks, click Eduroam.
- For Username, type in your full St. Lawrence email address.
- For Password, type in your St. Lawrence network password.
- Click Join.
- If you see a box pop up titled "Verify Certificate", click Continue.
- You may be prompted to enter a name and password, or use Touch ID. Type in your computer's password or use Touch ID and click Continue.
iOS
- On the home screen, tap on the Settings app.
- Tap the Wi-Fi button.
- Tap on eduroam in the list of available networks.
- For Username, type in your full St. Lawrence email address.
- For Password, type in your St. Lawrence network password.
- Tap Join.
- If you see a screen pop up with the word Certificate at the top, tap the Trust button on the top right.
Android
- Tap Settings
- Tap Wi-Fi
- Select eduroam
- For EAP Method select PEAP
- For Phase 2 Authentication select MSCHAPV2
- For CA Certificate select Use system certificates
- For Domain, enter stlawu.edu
- Under Identity, enter your St. Lawrence email address
- Leave Anonymous Identity blank
- Under Password enter your St. Lawrence password
- Tap Connect
Chromebook
- On the bottom right of the screen, click the Time.
- On the box that pops up, click on the icon shaped like a gear to open Settings.
- Click the Wi-Fi button.
- From the list of networks, click eduroam.
- For EAP Method select PEAP.
- For Phase 2 Authentication select MSCHAPV2.
- For CA Certificate select Do Not Validate.
- Under Identity, enter your St. Lawrence email address.
- Leave Anonymous Identity blank.
- Under Password enter your St. Lawrence password.
- Click Connect.
