How to fix a Polycom Phone if it only rings one time.

What is the Problem?

Under certain circumstances, a Polycom phone may only ring once for an incoming call. This is caused by the Ring Splash feature. Ring Splash is designed to ring only once while a call is inbound. Changing the Ring Type will enable the phone to ring for the full duration.

Resolution

1. On your Polycom Phone, press the Home button. 
2. Select Settings.
   • For non-touch screen phones, use the circular button with arrows in the cardinal directions to move the selection, then press the button in the center to choose your selection.
   • For touch screen phones, tap on the buttons directly. 
3. Select Basic. 
4. Select Ring Type. 
5. Set the Ring Type. Choose any ring EXCEPT Ring Splash.
