Overview
This article explains how to manage distribution groups using St. Lawrence Webmail.
Instructions
- Go to https://outlook.office.com and sign in using your St Lawrence University email address and password. If prompted, complete the authentication request.
- In the upper right-hand corner, click on the icon that looks like a gear.
- On the left, click General.
- Click Distribution Groups.
- Click on the link that says "this portal".
Managing distribution groups, you are a member of.
- To view distribution groups that you are apart of, click Groups I Belong To.
- To view the details of a group, click on it.
- To join a group, click the icon with the "+" symbol, select the group from the menu that appears, and click the symbol with the "+" again. Note that most distribution groups at St. Lawrence require you to be invited and you cannot add yourself with this method.
- To remove yourself from a group, select the group you would like to leave on the list, then click the Leave group. Note that you cannot leave some groups also note that you may not be able to rejoin a group without being re invited by the owner of that group.
Managing distribution groups that you own or manage.
- In the menu on the right, select the group that you would like to edit and click on the pencil icon.
- This will open a new window that will allow you to adjust ownership, membership, approval settings, and many other options.
