How to turn off "Working Offline" in Outlook for Windows

  1. On the bottom right of the Outlook window, confirm that “Working Offline” is displayed.
  2. In the tabs at the top of the window, click on “Send/Receive”
  3. Below “Send/Receive”, in the toolbar section listed “Preferences”, click on the “Work Offline” button
  4. Confirm that the “Work Offline” button is no longer highlighted.

It will take a moment before email begins to download again from the server. You should begin to see the inbox update after a short wait.
