Install SAINTS

Overview

When employees get new computers, sometimes SAINTS isn't installed correctly or at all.  This article explains the process for installing SAINTS on a University Computer.

 

Installation

  • In the Start Menu, search for and open HostExplorer
  • In the Open Session window, SAINTS will appear as one of Profile Names
  • Right click on SAINTS and then click Create shortcut...
  • Click Desktop and then click OK
  • This completes the installation of SAINTS

 

Troubleshooting SAINTS

Missing HostExplorer

  • In the Start Menu, search for Software Center
  • Install HostExplorer

 

Install SAINTS to Default Account

  • Open ourslu\installs$\Open Text\Profile
  • Copy SAINTS and SAINTSTest
    • Make sure to copy the HostExplorer Profiles, not the Shortcuts
  • Open C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Hummingbird\Connectivity\14.00\Profile
    • If AppData is not visible, enable viewing of hidden files and folders
  • Copy SAINTS and SAINTSTest to this folder

 

Install SAINTS to Existing User Account

  • Open ourslu\installs$\Open Text\Profile
  • Copy SAINTS and SAINTSTest
    • Make sure to copy the HostExplorer Profiles, not the Shortcuts
  • Open C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Hummingbird\Connectivity\14.00\Profile
    • If AppData is not visible, enable viewing of hidden files and folders
  • Copy SAINTS and SAINTSTest to this folder
