Overview
When employees get new computers, sometimes SAINTS isn't installed correctly or at all. This article explains the process for installing SAINTS on a University Computer.
Installation
- In the Start Menu, search for and open HostExplorer
- In the Open Session window, SAINTS will appear as one of Profile Names
- Right click on SAINTS and then click Create shortcut...
- Click Desktop and then click OK
- This completes the installation of SAINTS
Troubleshooting SAINTS
Missing HostExplorer
- In the Start Menu, search for Software Center
- Install HostExplorer
Install SAINTS to Default Account
- Open ourslu\installs$\Open Text\Profile
- Copy SAINTS and SAINTSTest
- Make sure to copy the HostExplorer Profiles, not the Shortcuts
- Open C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Hummingbird\Connectivity\14.00\Profile
- If AppData is not visible, enable viewing of hidden files and folders
- Copy SAINTS and SAINTSTest to this folder
Install SAINTS to Existing User Account
- Open ourslu\installs$\Open Text\Profile
- Copy SAINTS and SAINTSTest
- Make sure to copy the HostExplorer Profiles, not the Shortcuts
- Open C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Hummingbird\Connectivity\14.00\Profile
- If AppData is not visible, enable viewing of hidden files and folders
- Copy SAINTS and SAINTSTest to this folder
