University Voicemail Setup Tutorial

Overview

There are two types of phones provided:

• NEC
• Polycom

A user should check which type they have before moving to the next step.

Before Setting Up or Resetting Voicemail

Before setting up or resetting voicemail, create a temporary PIN (instructions pending).

Set Up Voicemail for the First Time

For NEC Phones

1. Dial x5050
2. Enter the temporary PIN followed by #
3. Follow the prompt

For Polycom Phones

1. Dial x1400
2. Enter the temporary PIN followed by #
3. Follow the prompt

Set a New Pin

For NEC Phones

1. Dial x5050
2. Enter the temporary PIN followed by #
3. Select Personal Options
4. Select option 3

For Polycom Phones

1. Dial x1400
2. Enter the temporary PIN followed by #
3. Select Personal Options
4. Select option 3
