Create PDF in Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 for Mac OS

Option 1: Export as PDF

To check your PowerPoint version, click PowerPoint > About PowerPoint. If you do not have version 15.2 or greater, you should update your software and use this option to Export as PDF. If you cannot update your software, see Option 2.

1. Click File
2. Click Export...
3. Click the File Format drop down menu and choose PDF
4. Click Save

Option 2: Print as PDF (2 Steps)

Step 1. Create a Custom Paper Size

1. Click File
2. Click Page Setup
3. Click Options
4. For Paper Size, choose Manage Custom Sizes...
5. Click the plus symbol (+) to create a new paper size
6. Set Width and Height to match your slide/poster size
7. Click OK
8. Click OK

Step 2. Print as PDF

1. Click File
2. Click Print
3. Paper Size should now display Other with the correct custom size from Step 1
4. Check Scale to Fit Paper
5. Click the PDF drop down menu and choose Save as PDF
6. Click Save
