Student Printing Budget and Billing
Each student is allotted $48 for printing per academic year. The balance declines at $0.03 per side of a sheet for black and white printing and $0.15 per side of a sheet for color printing. There is a minimum charge of $0.06 per sheet. A sheet is defined as one 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper, front and back. A side is defined as one of two total sides of a 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper. Students are encouraged to print multiple pages per sheet to make the most of their allotment and reduce printing costs to the University and the environment. Two-sided printing is enabled by default when printing to SLU Public Printing copiers from lab computers.
Any printing in excess of the $48 allotment will be billed to the student in their end of the year bill from Student Financial Services at the aforementioned rates at the end of the academic year. Students can check their printing balance or request a refund for a failed print job at at http://publicprinting.stlawu.edu. The initial $48 is non-refundable as this is an allotment and is never payed for by the student.
