How to backup and restore bookmarks in Chrome

Backing up Bookmarks

  1. In the Chrome menu (the button on the top right with the three vertical dots) click on Bookmarks -> Bookmark Manager
  2. In the settings menu (the three vertical buttons, this time on the blue bar at the top of the page) click “Export Bookmarks”
  3. Save the file in your desired location.

 

Restoring Bookmarks

  1. In the Chrome menu (the button on the top right with the three vertical dots) click on Bookmarks -> Bookmark Manager
  2. In the settings menu (the three vertical buttons, this time on the blue bar at the top of the page) click “Import Bookmarks”
  3. Select the file that was created during the export and click Open.
  4. If Chrome asks if you’d like to replace your bookmarks with the saved bookmarks, click OK.
