A few helpful hints to make your Canvas experience as successful as possible:
- Note that not all faculty use Canvas, and if they do, they may not make your Canvas course site available until the first day your class meets ... or even at a later date. If you don't have access to your Canvas course site when you expect you should, you may want to check first with your professor to confirm it is available
- If you add the course after the start of the semester, there can be a day or two delay before your registration adds you to your Canvas course site. Your professor can add you to the Canvas course manually if you need access sooner
- FYI that you will maintain access to your Canvas course sites from past semesters
- Find them in Courses > All Courses
- Any courses you “Favorite” by clicking the star in that All Courses list will be available in your Dashboard
- Favorite your courses for the current semester, any that include information you may want to refer back to, any which you have taken an incomplete, etc
- If you haven’t already, consider adding a photo to your Profile
- Review your Notification settings
- Have you checked out the Canvas Student App
