Sign-in Error 0x0 on Office for Mac

Instructions

  1. Quit and Uninstall all Office 365 applications.
    1. Drag all Office Applications to the trash from your LaunchPad or the Applications folder within Finder.
      1. This includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, and Outlook.
    2. Empty your Trash.
    3. Restart your computer.
  2. Navigate to: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/how-to-remove-office-license-files-on-a-mac-b032c0f6-a431-4dad-83a9-6b727c03b193
  3. Download the license removal tool from the URL above and run the downloaded file. 
  4. Follow the installation prompts.
  5. Restart your computer.
  6. Navigate to: http://portal.office.com
  7. Enter your St. Lawrence University email address and click Next to be directed to the St. Lawrence University log-in page.
  8. In the page with St. Lawrence branding, enter your St. Lawrence email address and password, then click Sign In.
  9. Click the Install Office button.
  10. Click Office 365 apps.
  11. If you are asked to allow downloads from the page, click Allow.
  12. Run the downloaded file.
  13. Follow the installation prompts.
