Access Panopto

Safari is not recommended for creating, managing and editing content in Panopto. Firefox, Edge and Chrome are recommended and all browsers should be fine for viewing content.

Your account is the same whether you access Panopto directly or via Sakai. Adding the Sakai integration will create a folder for your course and allow your students to view the contents of the course folder from Sakai.

Directly

  1. Go to https://stlawu.hosted.panopto.com and click Sign In
  2. Enter your St. Lawrence University email address and password

Sakai Integration

There are three ways to add Panopto content to your Sakai course. No matter how you are adding videos or playlists, you should start by enabling and accessing the Panopto tool in Sakai (option 1), which will automatically create a course folder in Panopto that you and your students have access to. If you prefer to link directly (option 2) to or embed (option 3) videos (i.e., not provide the link to all videos from the Tool Menu) you can hide this tool once it has been enabled. You cannot add direct links to your videos by copy/pasting the video link from Panopto, nor can you embed using the embed code from Panopto. You must choose from the three options below.

Option 1: Add the Panopto tool to your Sakai course Tool Menu
