Migrate Data from your P Drive to your Personal Computer

Overview

This article will give you instructions for how to copy data from your P Drive to a personal computer.

Instructions

  1. If you are off campus, you must be connected to the VPN. Click here for instructions on how to setup the VPN.
  2. Ensure the P Drive is mapped to your computer. Click here for instructions on how to set up the P Drive on your computer.
  3. Create a new folder on your computer in a location of your choice.
  4. Open the P Drive folder.
  5. Select and copy all of the folders and files you need. 
    • Note: Holding CTRL on a PC or Command on a Mac and clicking on files in the P Drive will allow you to pick multiple files at once. You can then right click and choose "Copy" to copy all of the selected files at once.
  6. In the folder you created, Paste the files.
