Mac Desktop - 21.5" display iMac, 2.8GHz Quad-core Intel i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 1TB Fusion hard drive
Mac Laptop - 13" Retina Macbook Pro, 2.7GHz Dual-Core Intel i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB solid state hard drive
Faculty/Staff Computer Options:
Tenure Track Faculty
Choice of Laptop or Desktop computer - may be a Mac or Windows based computer
Visiting Faculty
Desktop computer - can be a Mac or Windows based computer
FYP Adjunct Faculty
Desktop computer - can be a Mac or Windows based computer
Adjunct Faculty
Adjunct Faculty do not receive a University computer at this time. Requests for exception should be directed to the Academic Dean's office.
Administrative Staff
Historically, new administrative staff receive the same computer type that the person they are replacing had. With approval of their Vice President and being mindful of the type of work that individual staff members do for the University, the choice of Desktop or Laptop computer and Mac or Windows based computer can be made.
Switching computers
The option to switch from a desktop to a laptop or from a Windows to a Mac based computer come when your current computer is due for replacement. You may petition for a change at a different time with the approval of the Academic Dean's office or your Vice President.
