Configure VPN on Chromebook

  1. Click on the Time/Wireless icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen
  2. Click Settings
  3. Under Internet Connection click the + symbol to add a new connection
  4. Select OpenVPN/L2TP
  5. Enter these settings:
    • Server-host name: vpn.stlawu.edu
    • Service name: SLU VPN
    • Provider type: L2TP/IPsec + pre-shared key
    • Pre-shared key: stlawu
    • Server CA certificate: Default
    • User certificate: None installed
    • User name: YOUR St. Lawrence User name
    • Password: YOUR St. Lawrence Password
    • OTP: leave blank
    • Group name: leave blank
    • Check the check box for Save identity and password
  6. Click Connect
  7. Open the Microsoft Authenticator App and approve the notification.

NOTE: You will not be able to connect to the VPN while on campus.
