In an effort to reduce the number of malicious (phishing) emails, on Tuesday, June 26 we will implemented a new system that helps identify whether messages sent on behalf of (i.e. not directly from) St. Lawrence accounts are legitimate or not. These types of messages appear to be from <youraccount>@stlawu.edu, but originate from an external mail system.

Examples include:

Fri 6/1/18 10:14 AM

EMAIL to campus on May 9, 2018

Fri 6/1/18 10:09 AM

Below is a phishing message sent to many St. Lawrence employees today.  It is not real, please delete!

I am excited to report, the ATP software did identify this message as malicious.  Meaning had someone clicked on the link, an alert message would appear.

Stay cautious and pause before clicking a link.  Ask yourself, is it worth it?________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Monday, June 4, we will be retiring one of our old VPN servers.  Not everyone is connecting to the old server, but if you have problems with the VPN next week, you will probably need to reconfigure the client.

How do I update my VPN you ask?
