Purchasing and replacement of Computers out of startup funds

  • St. Lawrence University strives towards a one computer per person for office computers model. We understand, however, that you may require additional computers for your lab or research
    • Computers purchased through startup/endowed funds must be purchased in collaboration with the Libraries and Information Technology Department - Jamie Richardson - jrichardson@stlawu.edu - will be your contact
    • Computers purchased through startup/endowed funds are  University assets and belong to the University if you leave. These computers are also not replaced on the University computer replacement cycle.

Purchase and replacement of Grant-Funded equipment

  • Computers purchased with grant funds must go through the IT Department - Jamie Richardson - jrichardson@stlawu.edu - will be your contact
  • Computers purchased through grant funds are University assets and belong to the University after the grant finishes. These computers are also not replaced on the University computer replacement cycle.

  • Please work with Libaries and Information Technology when you are looking to purchase anything involving technology. We can make recommendations or affirm your choice. We also have many options for purchasing technology, potentially at deeper discounts than are available to consumers.
