Forward your University Phone to an Alternative Number via Skype For Business

PC Instructions

1. In the Skype for Business app, next to the Gear-shaped button on the top right, click on the downward-pointing triangle.
2. Move your mouse over the Tools options until a second menu appears, then click Call forwarding options.
3. Click the circle next to "Forward my calls to" or "Simultaneous ring"  to choose whether to forward your calls to your cell phone or have your cell phone ring along with your university phone.
4. If you need to change the number listed: click on the dropdown box next to "Forward my calls to" or "Simultaneous ring" and click "New Number or Contact".
5. In the box that pops up, type in your desired phone number.
6. Click on the phone number when it appears below the search box to highlight it.
7. Click OK.
8. Click OK.

Mac Instructions

1. In the Skype for Business app, up on the top bar, click on Skype for Business.
2. Click Preferences.
3. In the box that pops up, click the Calls tab.
4. Click the checkbox next to "Turn on call forwarding". You can then choose whether to forward all of the calls or have your phone ring to your cell phone simultaneously.
5. If you need to change the number listed: click on the dropdown box next to "Forward my calls to" or "Simultaneous ring" and click "Custom contact or phone number".
6. In the box that pops up, type in your desired phone number.
7. Click on the phone number when it appears below the search box to highlight it.
8. Click Select. You can now close the Preferences window.

Mobile Instructions

1. In the Skype for Business app, up on the top left, tap on the Account button (this will either have your photo or a blue icon of a person).
2. Tap on Call Forwarding.
3. Tap on Forward Calls or Simultaneously Ring depending on your preference.
4. Tap on the space next to New Number.
5. Type in your cell phone number.
6. Tap Done.
