Body
- Right Click on the Desktop and select “Display Settings”
- Under the “Multiple Displays” section, click the drop down menu and select which setting you desire.
- “Duplicate these displays” will make the picture the same on both screens.
- “Extend these displays” allows you to put separate windows on each screen.
- The “Show only on” options will leave only one screen turned on while leaving the other blank.
- When asked if you would like to keep the display settings, close “Keep changes”
Configuring Extended Displays
- If you chose “Extend these displays” in the drop down menu, scroll back up to the “Select and rearrange displays” section and click “Identify”.
- Make note of which screen is labeled with which number.
- Click and drag on the numbered rectangles in the gray box so that they are lined up in the same way as your monitors are on your desk.
- Click “Apply”
- If you would like to see your desktop icons on a different display, click on your preferred screen in the gray box, then scroll down to the “Multiple Displays” section and check the box next to “Make this my main display”
