Overview

This article explains how to set up your St. Lawrence account for Self Service Password Reset and the Microsoft Authenticator App.  

Register Information for Account Security

In your web browser, go to https://aka.ms/mysecurityinfo 

  • Enter your St. Lawrence email address, click Next.
  • When redirected to the St. Lawrence branded sing-in page, enter your password.
  • Verify that your Phone number and Email(personal) are correct.  If the information is correct, no action is required for this step.
    • Click "Change" to modify this information.
      • Note that if you do not have a personal phone number or email address on file with the University, you will be prompted to enter this information when logging in.
  • If you change or add phone or email information, a verification code will be sent for you to complete the registration.

Configure Authenticator App

  • Visit the Apple app store or Google play store on your mobile device and install the Microsoft Authenticator app.
  • In your computer web browser, go to https://aka.ms/mysecurityinfo  
  • Enter your St. Lawrence email address, click Next.
  • When redirected to the St. Lawrence branded sign-in page, enter your password.
  • Select Add Method > Authenticator app.
  • Follow the wizard experience to setup the app.
  • Using push notifications as the default sign-in method is the most secure and convenient way to authenticate, as it does not require the user to manually enter verification codes. To ensure that you are prompted to sign-in using push notifications,
    • Select Default sign-in method > Change> Authenticator – notification option.
