Getting Started with Gradescope

Save time grading paper-based assignments. Gradescope supports worksheets, quizzes/exams, and papers. Students upload handwritten assignments ("scanned" with cell phone camera) to be graded. Grade with a rubric that can be created/changed as you work through submissions.

Important: If using Safari, under preferences users will need to turn off "Prevent cross-site tracking"

Access Gradescope

Canvas Integration (Instructors)

Adding the Canvas integration will allow you to add your course and sync your roster into Gradescope.

1. From your Canvas course, click Settings
2. Click Navigation
3. From the list, drag the Gradescope tool up into the course navigation
4. Click Save

Access Gradescope Directly (if needed; however, the recommendation is to access Gradescope via Canvas)

1. Go to https://www.gradescope.com/auth/saml/stlawu
2. Sign in with your St. Lawrence University email and password
