Create a Sakai Site

Sakai Course Sites are automatically created each semester. Faculty, staff and students can create a Sakai Project Site to use Sakai tools (e.g. Dropbox, Messages, Resources) for campus organizations and projects.

To create a Sakai Project Site:

  1. Sign in with your St. Lawrence University network credentials at https://sakai.stlawu.edu
  2. Click the Home tab
  3. Select Worksite Setup
  4. Click New
  5. Select Project Site
  6. Click Continue
  7. Give your site a Site Title (e.g. Chess Club or Widget Committee)
  8. Click Continue
  9. Select the tools you want to enable for your site (this can also be done at any time after site creation by visiting Site Info > Manage Tools)
  10. Click Continue
  11. Review the Site Access options (the default options are typically best)
  12. Click Continue
  13. Click Create Site
