Getting Started with SpectrumU

Overview:

SpectrumU is a TV streaming service that is available to residents living on campus at St. Lawrence. SpectrumU lets you watch live TV anytime, anywhere, on campus using your phone, tablet, computer, or Roku device. 

How to view SpectrumU on your computer:

  1. Confirm you are connected to SLU-Wifi, Eduroam, or SLU-Gamer.
  2. In a web browser, visit https://watch.spectrum.net.
  3. Click Sign in to SpectrumU.
  4. In the box beneath "Enter your school domain", type in stlawu.edu.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. On the Single Sign-On Page (the page with the St. Lawrence logo and picture of Johnson Hall of Science), enter your full St. Lawrence email address and password.
  7. Click Ok. You are now able to access SpectrumU.

How to view SpectrumU on other devices:

The exact method for downloading the app will depend on which device you are connecting from, but here are the general instructions:

  1. Visit your device's App Store (App Store for Apple devices, Google Play store for Android devices, Amazon App Store for Kindle devices, or Roku Channel Store on Roku devices).
  2. If you are not using a Roku device, search for SpectrumU and download the App.
    • On Roku​​​​​​​ devices, search for the SpectrumTV​​​​​​​ app instead.
  3. Open the app.
  4. Select Get Started.
  5. In the box beneath "Enter your school domain", type in stlawu.edu.
  6. Select Submit.
  7. On the Single Sign-On Page (the page with the St. Lawrence logo and picture of Johnson Hall of Science), enter your full St. Lawrence email address and password.
  8. Select OK. You now have access to SpectrumU.

Additional Information

Supported Devices:

The following devices and OS version numbers are currently supported: 

  • Android smartphones and tablets running Android 5 or above. 
  • iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 11 or above. 
  • Kindle Fire Phone and all Kindle Fire models except for the 1st generation models. 
  • Mac: Safari 7 or higher, Firefox 45 or higher or Chrome 43 or higher. 
  • Windows IE 11, Chrome 43 or higher, Firefox 45 or higher or MS Edge 12 or higher 
  • Roku: All second-generation players and TVs
