ClearPass allows devices to communicate via AirPlay on an enterprise network (i.e., St. Lawrence's Wi-Fi). Each device that is communicating via AirPlay on the St. Lawrence network needs to:
- have a unique identifier such as a name or Media Access Control (MAC) address
- be added to the ClearPass service
- Connect to slu-gamer Wi-Fi
1. Find your MAC Address
Windows 10
- Click Windows Start
- In the search box, type cmd
- Press Enter
- Type ipconfig /all
- Press Enter
A physical address displays for each adapter. The physical address is your device’s MAC address.
macOS (Apple Computer)
- Click Apple Icon
- Click System Preferences
- Click Network
- Click Advanced
- Select Wi-Fi
A Wi-Fi Address or Airport Address displays. This is your device’s MAC address.
iOS (iPhone, iPad)
- Open Settings
- Select General
- Select About
A Wi-Fi Address displays. This is your device’s MAC address.
2. Add Device to ClearPass
- Log in to https://clearpass.stlawu.edu with your St. Lawrence University network username and password
- Select Create Device
- Device Name: enter a name for your device
- Enter the MAC address
- Airgroup: select Enable
- Shared With: enter your network username
- Select Create Device
3. Connect to slu-gamer Wi-Fi
- Connect to slu-gamer
