How to Add Network Printers and Copiers on Windows 10

  1. Click Start
  2. Type \\print.stlawu.local\ (name of printer) in the search box *Copiers and SLU Public Printing use print01.stlawu.local
  3. Hit Enter
  4. Enter your SLU username and password when prompted
  5. Click Install Driver if the driver isn't already installed

How to Add Network Printers and Copiers on MacOS

  1. Open System Preferences 
  2. Select Printers and Scanners
  3. Click +
  4. Select Advanced in your Toolbar
    • If you do not see Advanced...
    • Right Click next to the Windows icon and select Customize Toolbar
    • Drag the Advanced Icon into your Toolbar 
  5. For Type select Windows Printer via spoolss
  6. For the URL type smb://print.stlawu.local/(name of printer) *Copiers and SLU Public Printing use print01.stlawu.local
  7. For Name, type the desired name for the printer.
  8. For Use select Genertic Post Script
  9. Click Add

Windows 7

  1. Click Start
  2. In the search box, type: \\print.stlawu.local\ (name of printer)
  3. Click Ok
  4. Enter your SLU username and password
  5. When prompted, click Install Driver

Windows 8

  1. From the Windows 8 Start screen, click the Desktop tile.
  2. Move your mouse into the lower left hand corner and right-click
  3. Click Run and then type the following into the box: \\print.stlawu.local\(name of printer)
  4. Click Ok
  5. Enter your SLU username and password.
  6. When prompted, click Install Driver
