Publishing Calendars

To publish your calendar to the Internet follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to Outlook Web App (https://mail.stlawu.edu)
  2. Click on the calendar button in the lower right hand menu bar
  3. Choose the calendar you wish to publish, right click on the calendar name and click Share - Publish this calendar to the Internet
  4. In the new window, select the Publishing detail. You may choose from the following options:
    • Availability Only - displays busy/free time only
    • Limited Details - displays appointment subject, date, time, and location
    • Full Details - displays all of the above, plus the description of the appointment
  5. Select the date range for which you wish to publish your calendar
  6. Select the access level. You may choose from the following options
    • Restricted - This publishes your calendar with a web URL that contains a long random string, which makes it difficult for both search engines and individuals to access without sharing the link
    • Public - This publishes your calendar with a predictable, human readable URL. This may also be subject to indexing by internet search engines
  7. Once you've verified the settings in steps 1-6 are configured as desired, click 'Start Publishing'. You'll be presented with two URL's; one for subscribing to the calendar and another to view the calendar in a web browser
