How to find your MAC address on Game Consoles and Smart Devices

Game Console Instructions

Playstation 4

  1. In the main menu, go to Settings.
  2. Select System.
  3. Select System Information.
  4. When signing into SLU-Devices, you will need the Wi-Fi MAC Address.

Playstation 5

  1. In the PS5 menu, select Settings.
  2. Select Network.
  3. Select View Connection Status.
  4. The MAC Address will be listed next to MAC Address (Wi-Fi).

Xbox One

  1. Go to My Games & Apps and Settings.
    • If you are not signed into a profile, just go to Settings.
  2. Select Network.
  3. Select Advanced Settings.
  4. Scroll down and select Network Settings.
  5. Choose Wireless.

Xbox Series X

  1. Go to the Settings page.
  2. Select Network.
  3. Select Advanced Settings.
  4. Under IP settings, the MAC address will be listed next to Wireless MAC.

Nintendo Switch

  1. On the Home Menu, go to System Settings.
  2. In the menu on the left side, select Internet.
  3. The MAC Address will be under System MAC Address.

TV Instructions

Roku

  1. Go to the Roku Home screen
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select System.
  4. Select About.
  5. The MAC address is listed next to Wireless MAC Address.

Note: If the device has never been connected to the Internet, you may have to scan for Wi-Fi networks to view the Wireless MAC Address. There should be an option either near the bottom of the list of networks found, or displayed after choosing "private network".

Apple TV

  1. With your Apple TV remote, select Settings.
  2. From the Settings menu, select General.
  3. Under General, select Network.
  4. Your MAC Address will be next to Wi-Fi Address.

Chromecast

  1. Open the Chromecast app on your computer. If you have set up your Chromecast recently, you'll find a shortcut to the app on your desktop. Otherwise, Windows users should check the Start Menu and Mac users should check Applications.
  2. Click Settings, and the MAC Address will be at the bottom of the window.

Other Smart TVs

  • Most MAC Addresses will be visible in the Settings Menu, either under the Network or About sections.
  • Alternatively, check with the manufacturer for instructions on how to obtain the MAC Address for your specific model.

Amazon Device Instructions

Fire Stick

  1. Press Menu on your remote.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. You should see the Wi-Fi MAC Address located in the Device Info section.

Echo

  1. Download the Amazon Alexa app to your phone or computer and sign in with your Amazon account.
  2. Connect to the wireless network transmitted by your Echo device.
  3. The wireless MAC address for your Echo can be found at the bottom of the Echo Setup screen in the Alexa app.

Kindle

  1. From the Home screen, press Menu.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select the Menu button again.
  4. The Wi-Fi MAC Address is located toward the bottom of the screen in the “Device Info” section.
